As an artist, if something isn’t well composed, you could erase and try again, but street photography isn’t quite as forgiving. The sky grows darker, lights flicker on and off, and people go about their business. So much of a good photo comes from being at the right place at the right time.

Isn’t that thrilling? Almost like finding love.

It’s impossible to plan for serendipity, but it is the work of an artist to train the senses to become more aware, and choose to be within it, whatever it may be, whenever it happens.
